NRC to Resume Operation Of Lagos – Ogun Mass Transit

The Lagos district of the Nigerian Railway Corporation is set to resume operation of the Lagos-Ogun Mass Transit Train (MTT) service on 23rd January 2020.

The operation of the MTT has been shut down since 30th September 2019, due to the construction of Lagos-Ibadan standard gauge line.

The project which entailed replacing the existing narrow gauge line to pave way for the new standard gauge line has been completed and Lagos District of Nigerian Railway Corporation is ready to begin operation.

The managing director Engr. Fidet Okiriah who appreciated the patience of all stakeholders during the period of operation shut down,expressed the corporation’s commitment in securing the lives and properties of her passengers.

The MD and the Regional district Manager Engr. Jerry Oche said they look forward to improved service delivery and patronage.
