Nnewi Investment Summit showcases Africa’s future potentials 

Business men, investment giants and economic policy makers converged in Nnewi last week to discuss investment opportunities in the City. The two-day maiden summit kicked off with a tour of major investment clusters in the city by the participants.

The tour commenced with a visit to Ngobros and Company Nigeria limited, manufacturers of Babymate Diapers where the team was welcomed by the General Manager, Engineer Chinenye Obi. Other places visited include: Cutix Nigeria Plc, Tummy Tummy Foods Industry Limited, Chicason Group of Companies and Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing.

Key participants at the summit included the Special Adviser to the President on Ease of Doing Business, Dr Jumoke Oduwole, the Anambra State Commissioner for Economic Planning, Budgets and Development Partners, Mr Mark Okoye, Group Managing Director, Afrinvest West Africa, Ike Chioke, Director, Ford Foundation, West Africa, Mr. Innocent Chukwuma, and other top government officials, investors, policy makers, development experts and the media.

Commenting at the end of the summit, the Special Adviser to the President on Ease of Doing Business, Dr Oduwole announced that Anambra is a priority destination for the Federal Government’s interests in harnessing maximization of building opportunities for major, small and medium scale enterprises to thrive.
