Oru Leonard
The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has released important guidelines for accessing the self-service modification portal for National Identification Number (NIN) records. To avoid disruptions and delays, applicants are advised to note the following key points:
What to know and Guidelines
– Single Browser and Device Access: Accounts are tied to the specific browser and device used during registration.
– NIN Record Modification: Log in using the same browser and device used for registration to make changes to your NIN record.
– Cache Clearing Warning: Clearing browser cache may lock your account, requiring an unlinking process to regain access.
– Unlock Attempt Limit: A maximum of five unlock attempt requests are allowed; exceeding this limit will result in no further requests being processed.
NIMC emphasizes the importance of following these guidelines to safeguard user identities and prevent unnecessary disruptions. The Commission encourages users to carefully adhere to these guidelines and seek assistance from customer support via nimccustomercare@nimc.gov.ng if needed
