Nigerian Government Signs Significant Deal to Empower Youths

In a bid to tackle youth unemployment and boost economic growth, the Federal Ministry of Youth Development, the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment, and Sapphital Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This groundbreaking partnership aims to equip young Nigerians with the skills and opportunities needed to thrive in today’s economy.

According to Comrade Ayodele Olawande, Honourable Minister of Youth Development, the Labour Employment and Entrepreneurship Program (LEEP) and the Nigerian Youth Academy (NIYA) platform will provide clear pathways for skills development, job placement, and entrepreneurial growth. “This partnership is about action, not promises. We’re committed to equipping Nigerian youth with the right skills to succeed in today’s competitive job market,” he said.

Dr. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, Honourable Minister of State for Labour and Employment, while speaking noted that the collaboration aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s vision to tackle youth unemployment and drive sustainable economic growth. She further said that LEEP is designed to ensure that youth, women, and retirees have access to economic opportunities.

This landmark partnership is expected to open doors to innovation, self-reliance, and a thriving workforce for Nigeria’s future. As part of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, the government is committed to reducing poverty, creating wealth, and generating employment opportunities for Nigerians.
