NiDCOM Boss Congratulates Nigerian Tech Leader Bukola Babajide on MBE Honour

Abuja, June 16, 2026 – Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has congratulated Nigerian-born technology entrepreneur and inclusion advocate, Mrs. Olubukola Moyo Babajide, on her appointment as a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) by His Majesty King Charles III.

Babajide, founder of Crystal Options Ltd. and Female Techpreneur, was named among recipients of the King’s Birthday Honours List in recognition of her outstanding services to technology, business development, and inclusion in the United Kingdom and beyond.
Dabiri-Erewa described the honour as a fitting recognition of excellence, innovation, and impactful leadership, noting that Babajide’s achievements continue to project Nigeria positively on the global stage.

According to the NiDCOM Chairman, the award reflects the resilience, brilliance, and positive impact of Nigerians in the diaspora who continue to excel in their respective fields while contributing to the development of their host communities.

She commended Babajide’s contributions to technology and entrepreneurship, particularly her efforts in promoting greater inclusion and empowering women in the technology ecosystem.

The NiDCOM boss further noted that the recognition underscores the significant role Nigerians abroad are playing in advancing economic growth, technological innovation, and social development across the world.

Dabiri-Erewa also praised Babajide for serving as an inspiration to young Nigerians, especially women and aspiring entrepreneurs, encouraging them to pursue excellence and create meaningful impact through innovation and leadership.

Expressing confidence that the honour would motivate more Nigerians in the diaspora to continue making positive contributions globally, she wished Babajide greater success in her future endeavours.
