NiDCOM Boss assures Oru Media & Associates of further collaborations …… “Diasporas now have confidence in Nigeria- Leonard Oru

The Chairman/CEO, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, NiDCOM, Abike Dabiri-Erewa has lauded the efforts of Oru media and Associates in making sure that the world is aware of the Commission’s activities and programmes, assuring the team of continuous collaboration.

The Chairman/CEO of the Commission made this known while speaking during a courtesy call on the Commission by Oru Media and Associates at the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission’s headquarters in Abuja, on Thursday, 10th August 2022.

Earlier, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, while giving a brief introduction on the Commission’s aims and objectives, said, one of the Commission’s objectives is to initiate policies needed to recognize and harness the potentials of Nigerians in Diaspora networks and organizations, Mobilize and execute programmes that will compliment and advise the Federal Government on major areas of accelerated development.

Stressing further, she said, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, provide for the engagement of Nigerians in Diaspora in the policies, projects, and participation in the development of Nigeria and for the purpose of utilising the human capital and material resources of Nigerians in Diaspora towards the overall socio-economic, cultural and political development of Nigeria and for related matters.

The team lead of Oru Media and Associates, Mr. Oru Leonard, who is also the managing partner of Oru Media & Associates, a Fellow in the Advertising World while speaking on the purpose of the visit commended the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission’s boss, Dr. Abike Dabiri-Erewa over the immeasurable achievements attained within 3 years in office.

In his words, “diasporas now have confidence in Nigeria since you mounted the helm of affairs of this Commission right from its establishment.
We have observed you closely and your efforts are laudable.

“However, we still believe that there are a lot of things to be achieved, especially in the media.
That’s why we are here for collaboration in order to enhance the rapid achievements of the Commission’s goals and objectives.”

Reacting to the team lead, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, assured Oru Media & Associates of the commission’s partnership in lots of things that would benefit the Diasporas.
” One good thing about the Buhari-led government is that votes will count in the 2023 general elections. We plead you all to continue to believe in this administration as the best from this government for Nigerians is yet to be unfolded”, she added.

The Courtesy visit was also joined online by diasporas including Dr Salami Fada Councilor at Bangor city council
Founder and Director, North Wales Africa Society, Mr Tom Ajawara, An ICT Expert based in California, USA, Mr Rowland Ndukuba, President of Nigerians based in Italy and South African Associate of Oru Media, Publisher of the Diplomatic Society.

Highlights of the visit was the presentation of 3 years anniversary Cake and The Nigerian Outlook Magazine which featured achievements of NiDCOM during the period.
