NCC Boss visits Kano Zonal Office… Reinstates commitment to investment on people, digitalization process

In continuation of his familiarisation tour across Zonal Offices of the Commission, Dr. Aminu Maida, EVC/ CEO of the Nigerian Communications Commission paid a visit to the Kano State Zonal Office of the Commission last week.
The Kano Zonal Office covers the States in the North West and North East geopolitical zones of the country. During the visit, Dr. Maida interacted with the leadership and staff of the Commission in the Zonal Office where they shared their updates on their activities, engagements and challenges with the EVC.
Dr. Maida, while thanking the staff for their hard-work and commitment, emphasised on his drivers for the Commission: to place primacy in investing in the PEOPLE assets of the Commission; COLLABORATION; to ramp up COMPLIANCE activities of the Commission; to boost efficiency of the Commission through DIGITALISATION of our processes, and that decisions of the Commission must be DATA-DRIVEN.
He also noted that the Commission would strategically focus on serving the needs and expectations of its three core stakeholders: the Industry/ Licensees, the Government and importantly the Consumers.
In Kano, Dr. Maida also toured the NCC Emergency Communication Centre (ECC) located in the State. The Emergency Communications Centre, which operates 24/7 provides essential emergency response services to the public. Like Kano, the ECCs are present in 31 other states.
