NAMA Mourns Victims of Port Harcourt Helicopter Crash

The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) has extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the eight Nigerians who lost their lives in the tragic helicopter crash in Port Harcourt on Thursday, October 24, 2024.
In a statement signed by Engr. Farouk Ahmed Umar, MD/CE of NAMA, the agency expressed deep grief over the loss of lives, acknowledging the victims’ contributions to Nigeria’s economic growth.
“We join the nation in mourning the demise of these outstanding Nigerians who paid the supreme price in service to their fatherland,” Umar said.
NAMA prayed for the bereaved families to find courage during this difficult time and for the souls of the departed to rest in perfect peace.
Recall that on Thursday, A Sikorsky SK76 helicopter with registration number 5NBQG, operated by Eastwind Aviation, crashed on its way to the FPSO – NUIMS ANTAN.There were 8 persons on board (6 passengers and 2 crew members).
This tragic incident has sent shockwaves across the nation, with various organizations and individuals offering condolences to the affected families.
