Najomo Releases 9 Point Agenda for NCAA in 2024 … Says Staff Welfare and Reorientation key to organisations success

Acting Director General of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Capt. Chris Najomo has released the 2024 plan for the Agency.

The disclosed and explanation was made at a press briefing in Lagos yesterday when he revealed his objectives and how he intends to achieve the NCAA Project 2024 Plan.

Nuggets of the project which Najomo gave details include Simplified. Certification and Licensing Processes, noting that it will be extended to other authorizations, approvals and permits.”This is a derivative of the ease-of-doing business philosophy towards encouraging growth of the aviation industry”, he stressed. He cautioned that only holders of Air Transport Licence (ATL) and Airline Operating Permit (AOP) with a valid Air Operator Certificate (AOC) are authorized to conduct charter operations.

He said ISO 9001 Certification will be targeted while Intensified Revenue Drive. In an effort to recover over N47 billion owed by airlines to the Nigeria Civil Authority, the new NCAA Boss declared no pay, no service on all debtors.

Enhanced Surveillance encompassing safety, security and economic monitoring will be extended to all service providers will be implemented.

The Acting DG further stated that the authority will intensify efforts in enforcing airline’s compliance with the Nig Cars 2023 part 19 on Consumer Protection Regulations.

He said in line with the assurance by the Minister of Aviation that air passengers get value for their money, NCAA would ensure that airlines provide timely care to passengers for service disruptions adding that they would also ensure consumers receive quality services in the Nigeria Aviation industry and that their rights are always protected.

Capt Chris also said the ICT Digital Transformation Empic and Change Management is a priority as well as Staff Welfare Training and Reorientation. Others are USAP Audit and USOAP CMA.

He said NCAA has noticed the illicit activities of private jet operators operating commercial flights saying any private jets who wants to operate as commercial or charter operators must apply for the commercial licences.
