While commending the Federal Government for establishing the Federal Road Safety Corps, (FRSC), Dr. Ibeanusi said, the value the United Nations has on road safety led it to include it under Fundamental Human Right – ‘the right to live’.
Furthermore, he said that their modus operandi which is advocacy is geared towards awakening the consciousness of all to the need for safety on the roads and bringing to their knowledge the consequences of inaction in view of traffic offences.
He further informed that the weeklong event scheduled for 12th – 18th November, 2018 with the theme: ‘Road has Stories’ will feature: Road shows, talks, essay competition among others.
