Konrad Adenauer, Germany -Based Foundation To Train NSCDC Officers … As Minister, NSCDC Boss Laud Foundation’s Initiative.

A On five-day training and capacity building workshop organised started on Monday for officers of the NSCDC by the Germany-based foundation called the Konrad -Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) takes off at Chalton Hotels and Apartment, in Abuja.
The workshop themed “Enhancing training and development through optimized and harmonized curriculum for security agencies”, which the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC) was chosen for the last phase of the training which is to pretest the training materials among selected personnel of the NSCDC.
While declaring the workshop open, the Minister of Interior Dr Olubunmi Tunji Ojo lauded the choice of the NSCDC, “to pilot the preferred phase of the developed harmonized training manual and trainer’s guide which was developed through so synergy with other security agencies during the previous phases”.
Represented by the Commandant General of the NSCDC, Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi mni OFR, the minister however appealed to the selected NSCDC to allow the training to impact positively and effectively on them by ” garnering enough wealth of experience from the workshop and also justify their selection by ensuring that the outcome of the workshop will impact on them required skills so that they can also train others effectively”.
In the same vein Commandant General of the NSCDC appreciated the facilitators of the workshop pointing out that the security challenges across the globe require that personnel are well equipped with adequate training which will help them to perform their duties effectively for better security outcomes.”.
Named after the first Christian democratic Chancellor of Germany, Konrad Adenauer, the Foundation advocates peace, freedom and justice through civil and political education and training. The five-day training workshop will focus on four key areas; interagency collaboration, human rights, civil military/security officers relations and rule of law.
