Kamaldeen, Traffic Warden, Others Conferred With Award Of Excellence

The Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG in charge of zone 6, Calabar, Mr Okunlola Kamaldeen, has been conferred with an award of excellence in leadership and service to the public and humanity.

Kamaldeen was honoured with the award in Calabar by the Honorary Committee of Zone 6 officers mess during their end-of-year/award get-together.

President of the Mess Committee, Mr Joseph Udoh, presented the award to the representative of the AIG, Mr Chinedu Oko, a Deputy Commissioner of Police.

Also awarded was a popular traffic warden in Calabar, Sgt. Nkanu Nnah, for distinguishing himself creditably in the discharge of his duties.

Other awardees were; the Commissioners of Police of Cross River and Akwa Ibom, Mr Sule Balarabe and Mr Olatoye Durosimni, the Zonal Public Relations Officer, SP Nelson Okpabi among other committee patrons.

Speaking after presenting the awards, the President of the Mess Committee, Udoh, solicited members’ continued support for the police.

He added that such support would enable the police to discharge their duties in a conducive environment for the general good of society.

In his remarks, the representative of the AIG thanked the honorary committee members for taking out time to support and work with the Police for the general good of the zone and the country at large.
