Gov Ayade Cross River State Reconstitute Electoral Commission, re-appoints Prof Mike Ushie as Chairman

Governor Ben Ayade has reconstituted the Cross River State Electoral Commission(CROSIEC).

The Governor, in a memo by the Attorney General and Honourable Commissioner for Justice, Tanko Ashang appointed Prof Mike Ushie as Chairman with seven others as Members of the Commission.

The purpose of the Commission in the memo by the attorney general stated that “the reconstitution of the Commission is to commence activities leading to the 2023 Local Government Elections.

According to the memo, Mr.Ekuri Bassey Ogar is serve as Secretary of the Commission.

In an interaction with Media personnels, Dr. Ushie in his words declared his commitment to serve ebulliently for the success of the forthcoming Local Government Elections, adding that being part of the reconstituted Committee is another privilege offered him to render developmental service to Cross Riverians as elections are a determinant of the peoples welfare and only proper and credible candidates for Chairmanship and Councillor positions can bring the needed development.

He promised a free, fair and credible 2023 polls that will birth a new productive and people benefiting Local Government Councils.

Other members of the Commission are Matthew Ucheche, Joe Nnandi Esom, Yakmoendoho Yakmoendoho,Medea Ajah Inyang,Ndoma Bassey Ndoma and Ekuri Bassey Ogar.
