GEN ABDULSALAM CALLS FOR VIOLENCE FREE POLLS …..Urges candidates to accept election result

In a bid to commit candidates to a free and fair Anambra State Governorship election which comes up on Saturday, November 6, 2021, the Chairman of the National Peace Committee General Abdulsalam Abubakar has urged all candidates  to abide by the letter and Spirit of the Peace Accord which they have signed in Awka, the Anambra State Capital on today.

He told candidates the Peace Accord is not just a mere exercise but a clarion call to them all to commit everyone to a Peaceful election.

Also speaking, the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Mahmood Yakubu said the Commission has done all it should to make the electoral process smooth against incredible odds.

He appealed for violence free polls saying if the election is not violence free,  the entire electoral process will be undermined
