A rain of hattricks in the Premier League, as Lazio stuns Napoli and Jude contnues scoring spree

Teenage sensation bags a hattrick

18 year old Evans Ferguson was the star of the game between Brighton and Hove Albion and Newcastle after he grabbed an impressive hattrick in the Seasgulls’ win.

He got his first goal from the rebound after Nick Pope found Billy Gilmour’s shot too hot to handle.
The second was equally a beauty as he got the ball outside the box and guide pass the helpless Pope.
The third had an element of luck to it as his left footed curl was deflected past the Newcastle goalie. The away side got one back courtesy of substitute, Caluum Wilson who converted a well taken chances to score his 13th goal in 17 Premier League appearances, howbeit a consolation.

This defeat turned out to be Newcastle’s third on a throt and winless since match day one.
As for Ferguson, he joins an exclusive list of 18 year olds or younger who have bragged a Premier League hattrick including, Chris Bart-Williams, Robbie Fowler and Michael Owen.

Son inspires Spurs win

Son Heung-min was in fire after he scored a hat-trick to give Tottenham a win despite going a goal down against Burnley at Turf Moor.

The Skipper’s deft finish brought Spurs level 12 minutes after Burnley had taken an early lead courtesy of Lyle Foster.
He got his second on the afternoon as his side-footed finish went past James Trafford and then grabbed the inevitable treble with a low strike after latching on to Pedro Porro’s through ball.

James Madison continued his goalscoring form since joining from Leicester City with a goal of his own as well as Christian Romero.

The Clarets got one back courtesy of Josh Brownhill but it was no more than a consolation for Vincent Kompany’s charges who are without a point after 4 games.

Haaland capped an incredible week with a hat-trick

Erling Haaland scored his 7th Premier League hat-trick since joining Manchester City in their 5-1 walloping of Fulham FC.

The striker who had won the PFA Player of the Year on Tuesday and UEFA Player of the Year on Thursday was in scintillating form as City became the first Premier League team to win the first 4 games in the start of a season.

His first came after a neat through ball from Julian Alvarez before scoring against Bernd Leno. Alvarez was involved again after he was brought down inside the box before Haaland made it two from the penalty spot.

The hattrick was completed after he was set up by a Phil Foden to lash into the net.

The Norwegian had earlier set up Alvarez to open the score sheet on the day before Fulham equalized by Tim Ream from the corner.

There was a moment of controversy as Nathan Ake had equalized but it seemed Manuel Akanji who leaped over it from an offside position appeared to be “in the line of vision” and should have been deemed offside.

Forest inflicts defeat to Chelsea

Anthony Elanga came from the bench to score his first Nottingham Forest goal since moving from Manchester United to secure a hard-fought Premier League victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Elanga benefitted from a Taiwo Awoniyi’s pass to score. Chelsea who were dominant on possession failed to convert their chances against a very resolute Nottingham Forest defense.

The win was Forest’s first at Stamford Bridge since 1995 and their second since gaining promotion last season.

Bundesliga

Bundesliga champions, Bayern Munich recorded a home win against Borussia Monchengladbach last night.

Bayern were s goal down from Ko Itakura who scored from the set piece before Leroy Sane drew level at Borussia-Park .

Their consistent pressure then paid off three minutes from time when 18 year old substitute Mathys Tel headed home the winner for Thomas Tuchel’s team.

La Liga

Former Madrid Forward, Borja Mayoral opened the scoring in the 11th minute with a simple finish after defender Fran Gracias mistake but Joselu equalised from close range after the break.
Jude Bellingham took his tally to 5 in the opening 4 games this season after he scored from the rebound after David Soria could not handle the long-range shot from Lucas Vázquez.
Bellingham is the leading the chart for the golden boot while Madrid after top of the pile.

Lazio stuns Napoli
Serie A
Luis Alberto and Daichi Kamada were both on target as Lazio secured a surprise 2-1 against Napoli and earn their first point of the new season.

Maurizio Sarri’s who were the runner up of last season inflicted Napoli’s first defeat this season.

Napoli who were clear favorites heading into the match failed to convert their chances with star men Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia culpable. They are now three points behind league leaders, AC Milan who won against AS Roma on Friday.

Gianluca Scammaca grabbed a brace as Atalanta defeated Monza by 3- 0.

Ederson scored first from the corner kick. Scammaca got his first from beautiful header before making it 3-0 from a low footed drive from outside the 18-yard box. Ok
