The Super Eagles came from a goal down to beat their Sierra Leonean counterparts and give Jose Peseiro his first win as the manager of the Nigeria National Team in the African Cup Of Nations qualifiers.

The Sierra Leoneans drew first blood when Jonathan Morsay scored from a diving header. But Alex Iwobi and Victor Osimhen scored with Moses Simon provided the assists as the game ended 2-1.

The Super Eagles who are gunning for a 20th appearance in the biennial tournament are strong favourites to win and are currently the 30th best team in the world on the last Fifa ranking and the third-best country in Africa

The Eagles have an away tie against São Tomé and Principe in Agadir, Morocco, on Monday 13th June.
