Federal Ministry of Labour Gets New Permanent Secretary, Harps on Patriotism

The newly appointed Permanent Secretary for Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment in Nigeria, Dr. Salihu A. Usman has emphasised the importance of patriotism in driving better service delivery.
Usman, who spoke in Abuja as he assumed duties in the Ministry today, said that public officials must be patriotic to effectively discharge their duties.
He also stressed that dedication, sincerity of purpose, accountability, and teamwork are vital attributes that drive an organization toward achieving its maximum potential and optimal productivity.
“We are Nigerians. We can build our country to an enviable level if we put our heads together. We should always keep that in mind,” he said.

The Permanent Secretary committed to enhancing staff performance and productivity through capacity-building, recognizing that enhanced capacity would translate to improved overall performance.
Earlier, the Director Overseeing the Office of the Permanent, Lauretta Adogu, assured the Permanent Secretary of the commitment of the management and staff to his success while in office.
Director, Productivity Measurement and Labour Standards, Emmanuel Igbinosun appreciated the Permanent Secretary’s candour and humility, and pledged the dedication of the management to working together with him to achieve the Ministry’s mandate.
