Ex-Katsina Deputy Gov Mannir Yakubu hails Tinubu on emergence as ECOWAS Chair

The former Katsina State deputy governor, Alhaji Mannir Yakubu who is also assistant Director in the contact mobilisation committee in the Tinubu Shetima campaign cauncil has congratulated the Nigerian President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu over his emergence as ECOWAS Chairman.

This is contained in a statement issued to newsmen on Tuesday in Katsina by his spokesperson, Malam Ibrahim Musa Kalla.

The President, on Sunday emerged as the ECOWAS Chairman during the 63rd Ordinary Session of the Authority in Bissau, Guinea-Bissau.

The former deputy governor believes that President Tinubu’s success is not only perfect but also timely, given his wealth of experience and leadership intelligence.

He described Tinubu as an exceptional leader who has dedicated his life to the service of others.

According to him, Tinubu’s leadership will contribute significantly towards improving peace, unity and progress within the West African region.

He also described the success as a significant affirmation of Nigeria’s leadership in the West African sub-region and the African continent.
The confidence reposed in Tinubu by his colleagues to lead the authority, will manifest in effective collaboration and practical solutions to the challenges of economic growth, sustainable development, and issues of trans-border security.

The former deputy governor further expressed confidence that the President will perform exceptionally well as the Head of the important regional organisation.
Finally, he prayed that God will grant him the wisdom and courage in carrying out this onerous task.
