DAVNOTCH Championship: Ochei Reaffirms Commitment to Tennis Development

President of the Nigeria Tennis Federation (NTF), Rt. Hon. Victor Ochei, has reaffirmed his commitment to transforming Nigerian tennis through sustained reforms, increased competitions and stronger partnerships with the private sector.
Speaking at the grand finale of the sixth DAVNOTCH National Open Tennis Championship in Abuja, Ochei said the federation would continue expanding the domestic tournament calendar to provide more ranking opportunities and improve players’ competitiveness.
He praised the high standard of play at the championship and assured athletes of the NTF’s continued efforts to strengthen the country’s tennis ecosystem.
The championship saw Abubakar Yusuf and Success Ogunjobi emerge men’s and women’s singles champions respectively, while tournament sponsor DAVNOTCH Nigeria Limited announced an increase in prize money as part of its continued support for tennis development in Nigeria.
