The Cross River State Journalists Forum (CROSSJOF), Abuja, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Rev. Fr. Victor Achima Owan-Enoh, the younger brother of Senator John Owan-Enoh, Minister of State in the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment.

Rev. Fr. Victor Owan-Enoh died on Sunday morning in Abuja.

In a condolence message issued in Abuja on Sunday, February 8, and signed by the chairman of CROSSJOF, Francisca Ogar and the Secretary, Raphael Ekpang, the Forum described the death of Rev. Fr. Victor as a painful loss not only to the Owan-Enoh’s family but also to the state, the Catholic Church in Nigeria and the larger Christian community.

The Forum noted that Rev. Fr. Victor lived a life of service, devotion, and commitment to the work of God and humanity, adding that his passing leaves a significant void in the hearts of those who knew him and benefited from his priestly ministry.

CROSSJOF extended its heartfelt sympathies to Senator Owan-Enoh, the entire Owan-Enoh family, and particularly the aged mother of the deceased during this difficult moment of grief.

The Forum prayed for God’s comfort and strength for the family and all those mourning the departed priest.

“May the soul of Rev. Fr. Victor Achima Owan-Enoh rests in perfect peace,” the statement concluded.
