CAF CONFEDERATIONS CUP: Rivers get tricky test

Rivers United, Nigeria’s only surviving Club in the CAF inter-club competition have been handed a tricky test in the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup.

The former Nigeria Professional Football League champions qualified for the group stage draws by knocking out Etoile Filante in the second round over two legs.

The club which is popularly called, “Pride of Rivers” will locking horns with Tunisian side Club Africain, Dreams FC of Ghana and APC Lobito of Angola with the two top teams from the group getting quarter-final berth.

One of the clubs in the group, Club Africain already know what it means to face and defeat Rivers Utd as they defeated United home and away in the Confederation Cup group stage in 2017.
