Bangladeshi High Commission pledges collaboration with News Dot Africa

The Peoples Republic of Bangladesh (PRB), High Commission in Nigeria has pledged to collaborate with New Dot Africa to promote Bangladesh-Nigeria relationship.
This was made during a visit by the Media outfit to the High Commission in Abuja on Wednesday March 6, 2019.
In his remark, the High Commissioner, His Excellency Shameem Absan, expressed gratitude to the editorial team of News Dot Africa for giving adequate coverage on the activities of  the PRB High Commission and  Bangladesh in general.
“I am pleased with your regular coverage on the activities of my office and my country. Your stories are done with professionalism. There are lots of similarities between Bangladesh and Nigeria, of which we need to collaborate with your outfit in order to get the best from the Bangladesh/Nigeria relationship”, Absan said.
Reacting, the leader of the News Dot Africa contingent, Mr Oru Leonard, thanked Mr Absan for his reception. He told the Commissioner that News Dot Africa is an online news platform published by Oru Media & Associates, to help tell the story of developmental and infrastructural breakthroughs of the continents.
He noted that Bangladesh has come a long way, to economic success despite the obstacles. Going through persecution, genocide and poverty to the present height of achievement in social infrastructure, food sufficiency and stable health scheme. “Indeed Nigerians has a lot to learn from Bangladesh”, he added.
Mr Oru also noted that both countries can carry out a lot of business collaborations,  capacity building, children, youth and women programmes that will enhance interaction.
Bangladesh is one of the world’s most densely populated country with a population of about 166 million people and a land size of 147.570 km2. Poverty is widespread, but Bangladesh has in recent years reduced population growth and improved health and education.
