Bangladesh High Commissioner Md Shameen Visits Nigerian Army Hqtrs

The Nigerian Army headquarters has received the Bangladesh High Commissioner in Nigeria, Md Shameen Ahsan.
Nigerian Chief of Army Staff Buratai, an alumnus of National Defence College( NDC), Dhaka, Bangladesh, who received the Diplomat, recalled his memorable days in Bangladesh. He told his guests and members of his Team how he has benefited professionally, in addressing the Boko Haram and other insurgencies in Nigeria from the laudable success of the Bangladesh government to conclude a peace treaty on Chittagong Hill Tracts region ending long-running insurgency.
According to Burutai, the success of the Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina helped her win prestigious UNESCO Peace Prize (Félix Houphouët-Boigny Peace Prize).
The Army Chief stressed on conclusion of a MoU on defence cooperation while disclosing that so far 223 senior Nigerian officers are doing courses in Bangladesh.
It could be recalled that , the Bangladesh Diplomat had also paid similar visits to the Chief of Defence Staff، Chief of Naval Staff and Chief of Air Staff.
This is part of Md Shameen diplomatic moves to strengthen relationships between Bangladesh and Nigeria.
