Bangladesh High Commissioner, LCCI Strengthen Push for Nigeria-Bangladesh Trade, Investment Partnership

The High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Nigeria, H.E. Mr. Miah Md. Mainul Kabir, has held a strategic meeting with the President of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Engr. Leye Kupoluyi, to deepen trade and investment relations between Bangladesh and Nigeria.
The meeting, held at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce Conference Room, was attended by the Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the Chamber, Dr. Chinyere Almona, as both sides explored opportunities to expand economic cooperation and foster stronger business-to-business engagement.
Discussions focused on areas of mutual interest, particularly trade, investment, and commercial partnerships aimed at unlocking the vast economic potential of both countries. The meeting underscored the shared commitment of Bangladesh and Nigeria to strengthening bilateral economic ties through increased collaboration between their private sectors.
The High Commissioner highlighted Bangladesh’s growing industrial capacity and investment opportunities, while emphasizing the importance of enhancing commercial exchanges and encouraging stronger partnerships between businesses in both nations.
The LCCI leadership reaffirmed its commitment to promoting international trade and investment, expressing readiness to work closely with the Bangladesh High Commission to facilitate business linkages, investment opportunities, and greater economic engagement between Nigerian and Bangladeshi enterprises.
The meeting is expected to pave the way for increased cooperation, promote bilateral trade, and support initiatives that will boost investment, create jobs, and contribute to sustainable economic growth in both countries.
