Prince Adewale Adebayo, the Presidential hopeful of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), says bad leadership characterized by ineptitude and dishonesty is the reason for the travails of the average Nigerian.
He made this known when he paid a courtesy call on the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN). He said there is a need to elect people who have the interest of Nigerians at heart and are also ready to sacrifice personal ambitions for the greater good of the country.

He believes that there is a need to have people who lead by example because it is one of the easiest ways of inspiring confidence in the mind of the populace.

On the issue of insecurity, Prince Adebayo said President Muhammadu Buhari has to resign from his position. He also urged the President to replace the Service Chiefs for failing to deal with bandits who have been terrorising the country.
“The shutting down of the Government Schools in Federal Capital Territory (FCT), was not the appropriate strategy to curbing the menace of terrorism. The Government needs to take responsibility because they have been inept in the discharge of their duties which has culminated in the insurgents wrecking havoc in the Nation”.

He said the old hands have failed in ensuring of lives and properties and it is common sense to appoint new service chiefs who are ready to work and come up with practical solutions to the issue of insecurity.

On the other hand, The CAN President, Rev. Samson Olasupo Ayokunle said that the country needed qualified people who are willing to work and save the nation in its trying times.
He also asked christians in the country to commit the country in prayers as it is God who can elect the people who love this country so we can have a Nigeria of our dreams.
