Nigeria Congratulates Botswana on 60th Independence Anniversary

The Federal Government of Nigeria has congratulated the Government and people of Botswana on the country’s 60th Independence Anniversary, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation between the two African nations.
Nigeria’s congratulatory message was conveyed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, on behalf of the government and people of Nigeria.
In a statement signed by the Ministry’s spokesperson, Oluwafemi Adeniyi, on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, Nigeria commended Botswana for its achievements in nation-building since gaining independence on September 30, 1966.
