AKUME TO FEDERAL APPOINTEES: COMMUNICATE TINUBU’S ACHIEVEMENTS TO NIGERIANS
Communique on the Federal Appointees Strategic Summit – OSGF, 16th September 2026
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, CON, has directed Ministers, Special Advisers, and Chief Executive Officers of Federal Government Agencies to intensify strategic communication of the achievements of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, to Nigerians.
Senator Akume gave the charge while declaring open the Federal Appointees Strategic Summit held on Wednesday, 16th September 2026, in Abuja. He described the Summit as a critical platform for taking stock of the administration’s mid-term scorecard and assessing the tangible impact of government policies and programmes on ordinary Nigerians.
According to the SGF, the Summit convened top political appointees and Heads of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to reflect on accomplishments and their translation into improved livelihoods for citizens.

We are referring to Ministers, Special Advisers, Chairmen and CEOs of Agencies. We are not evaluating. What we are doing is taking stock of what has been achieved by each Ministry and every Agency, and how we are able to influence the lives of the ordinary people,” Senator Akume stated.
He urged participants to be open, constructive and to share experiences, challenges and perspectives on programme implementation, while taking personal responsibility for communicating their institutional achievements in clear and accessible language.
In his remarks, the Honourable Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dr. Henry Dele the Summit provides an opportunity for every Ministry, Agency and Federal establishment to present its contributions to the Tinubu administration. He noted that the administration has recorded significant and unprecedented strides based on verifiable facts, not rhetoric, and must be communicated more effectively.
Also speaking, the Honourable Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, CON, explained that President Tinubu’s decision to contest the 2023 presidential election was driven by a determination to confront longstanding national challenges and make difficult but necessary choices in the national interest. He emphasized that the Renewed Hope Agenda is not a mere campaign slogan but a well-articulated strategy for national transformation.
The Summit, convened by the OSGF, brings together key Federal officials to deliberate on government programmes, achievements, challenges and strategies for strengthening implementation and public communication of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

This timely directive by the SGF validates the grassroots advocacy consistently undertaken by the APC Initiative for Good Governance (APC-IGG) and the Asiwaju Again 2027 Project. It is a call for all stakeholders to intensify ward-to-ward sensitization on the gains of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
