NFF Congress Backs Tinubu’s Directive for Comprehensive Football Reforms

Members of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Congress have expressed their full support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s directive for comprehensive reforms in Nigerian football.
The Congress, in a statement, pledged to align with the reform process, stressing that urgent changes to the governance and administration of football were necessary to place the sport on a sustainable path of development.
The football stakeholders said the reforms should focus on strengthening governance, accountability and transparency, while improving the overall development of the game in Nigeria.
The Congress described President Tinubu’s directive as an important step towards addressing longstanding challenges in Nigerian football and creating an environment capable of supporting sustainable growth and improved performance.
According to the members, the NFF Congress is committed to working within the reform framework and supporting measures designed to reposition Nigerian football for greater success domestically and internationally.
The development comes amid renewed efforts by the National Sports Commission (NSC), and other stakeholders to reform Nigeria’s sports administration and improve the management of the country’s sporting institutions.
The NFF Congress reiterated its readiness to contribute constructively to the reform process in the interest of Nigerian football and its millions of supporters.
