Bangladesh, Nigeria Move to Deepen Tourism, Cultural Cooperation

The High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Nigeria, H.E. Mr. Miah Md. Mainul Kabir, on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to Nigeria’s Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy, H.E. Barr. Hannatu Musa Musawa, Esq., at the ministry’s headquarters in Abuja.

The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral relations through enhanced cooperation in the areas of tourism, arts, culture and the creative economy.

Both officials explored opportunities to promote tourism between Bangladesh and Nigeria, while emphasizing the importance of cultural exchanges as a tool for fostering stronger people-to-people ties and mutual understanding.

They also discussed prospects for future collaboration aimed at showcasing the rich cultural heritage of both countries, encouraging tourism development, and creating new avenues for partnership within the creative industry.

The courtesy visit reaffirmed the commitment of Bangladesh and Nigeria to deepening their longstanding diplomatic relations through increased cooperation in culture, tourism and other areas of mutual interest.
