Football: Parliament International, Fosla Set Up Blockbuster NSFC Semi-finals as Habila Fires Girls into Final

Parliament International School, Apo, booked a place in the semi-finals of the National Schools Football Championship (NSFC) after defeating Esteem Learning Centre 2-0 to finish top of Group B at the FIFA Goal Project Pitch in Abuja on Saturday.
Muhammad Nasir was the star of the match, scoring both goals to ensure Parliament International completed the group stage with a perfect record of three wins from three matches and a maximum nine points.
The victory earned the Abuja side a semi-final showdown against North East zonal champions, Brilliant Academy of Toro, Bauchi State, who secured the second semi-final ticket from Group A after recording two wins and one defeat.
Divine Mercy School, Asokoro, also progressed to the last four after beating Olumawu School 3-1 in their final Group B fixture. Sunday Mark inspired the victory with a first-half brace as Divine Mercy finished second in the group with six points.
Their reward is a mouthwatering semi-final clash against North Central champions and Group A winners, Fosla Academy, who also maintained a flawless record with three victories from three matches.
Brilliant Academy edged out Government Secondary School, Lugbe, and Glisten International School to qualify for the semi-finals, while Esteem Learning Centre and Olumawu School exited the competition after managing just one point each from three matches.
The winners of Sunday’s semi-final fixtures will battle for the boys’ title in Monday’s final at the FIFA Goal Project Pitch in Abuja.
In the girls’ category, Patricia Habila delivered a scintillating performance, scoring a hat-trick as Fosla Academy thrashed Aduvie International School 3-1 to seal a place in Monday’s final.
Fosla Academy will now face Government Secondary School, Lugbe, in the girls’ championship decider as both teams seek to be crowned national champions.
