NACCIMA, China Chamber Seal Strategic MoU to Boost Nigeria–China Trade Ties

The Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), has signed a forward-looking Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), with the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC), Guangzhou, marking a significant step toward strengthening economic cooperation between Nigeria and China.
The agreement was formalized on the sidelines of the NACCIMA Business and Investment Forum held on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, in Guangzhou.
Representing NACCIMA, National President Jani Ibrahim signed the pact, while Chia Chu Xing signed on behalf of the Chinese chamber.
The MoU is designed to deepen bilateral relations and expand economic collaboration, with a focus on promoting trade, investment flows, and private-sector partnerships between both countries.
A key highlight of the agreement is the commitment by both parties to institutionalize the NACCIMA Business and Investment Forum in Guangzhou as an annual event. The forum is expected to serve as a platform for business matchmaking, knowledge exchange, and the development of strategic partnerships between Nigerian and Chinese enterprises.
The brief signing ceremony was witnessed by Nigeria’s Consul-General in Guangzhou, Mairo Musa Abbas, and Vice President of CCOIC Guangzhou, Huang Xiaofeng, underscoring the diplomatic and commercial significance of the partnership.
The development signals renewed momentum in Nigeria–China economic relations, with stakeholders optimistic that the collaboration will unlock new opportunities for investment, industrial growth, and sustainable development.
