Abuja, April 28, 2026 — The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), has intensified its counter-terrorism campaign with a successful air interdiction operation targeting terrorist strongholds in the Mandara Mountains.
According to a statement issued by the Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI, the precision strike was carried out on April 27, 2026, at Guduf—an area identified as a major terrorist enclave.

The operation followed credible intelligence and confirmatory Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), which revealed the presence of multiple insurgent structures and logistics hubs supporting terrorist activities.

NAF air assets executed a coordinated and targeted strike, destroying key facilities and neutralising hostile elements within the area. The operation was conducted with strict adherence to rules of engagement, ensuring minimal risk to civilians and environmental safety.

The successful strike significantly degraded the operational capabilities of the террорист network, reinforcing the Air Force’s ongoing efforts to deny insurgents freedom of movement and strengthen national security.

Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information at NAF Headquarters, reaffirmed the Force’s commitment to sustained offensive operations against terrorist elements across the country.

The latest operation underscores the NAF’s resolve to maintain pressure on insurgent groups and support broader military efforts to restore peace and stability in affected regions.
