VP Kashim Shettima Attends 56th World Economic Forum Meeting in Davos Represents President Tinubu at 56th World Economic Forum Meeting in Davos,

Vice President Kashim Shettima has attended the 56th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in the alpine town of Davos, Switzerland, where he is leading the Nigerian delegation. The high-level global meeting is scheduled to take place from January 19 to 23, 2026, bringing together world leaders, policymakers, and business executives to discuss pressing economic and development issues.
Prior to the WEF engagement, the Vice President was in Conakry, Guinea, where he represented President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the presidential inauguration of President Mamadi Doumbouya on Saturday. The visit underscored Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening diplomatic relations and regional cooperation within West Africa.
On attending the WEF meeting in Davos, Vice President Shettima was received by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, and the Minister of Trade and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole. Officials of the Nigerian Mission in Switzerland were also present to welcome the delegation and support Nigeria’s participation in the global forum
