Ministry of Youth Development Mourns Flood Devastation in Borno State, Postpones National Council

The Federal Ministry of Youth Development has expressed deep sadness over the recent flood devastation in Maiduguri, Borno State, which has left a trail of deaths, destruction and displacement in its wake. The Honourable Minister, Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim, on behalf of Nigerian youths, commiserates with the Executive Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, and the people of Borno State.
The Ministry sympathizes with those who have lost loved ones, properties, and livelihoods due to the flood, praying for quick recovery and restoration of normalcy. They applaud the efforts of the Borno State Government, emergency responders, and humanitarian organizations providing relief and support to affected communities.
Due to the devastation, the proposed National Council on Youth Development, scheduled for this year, has been postponed indefinitely in solidarity with the people. The Ministry affirms its support for youth development in Nigeria, particularly in Borno State.
