FCT Police Arrests 6 ‘One Chance’ Robbery Suspects

Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Police Command has arrested Six robbery suspects who revealed their involvement in ‘One Chance’ operations

The suspects, aside using cars, were also said to operate in tricycle, and were nabbed following credible intelligence.

FCT Police Command spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh in a statement with reference No.2550/FCT/PPRO/VOL. 10/126 and dated June 22, 2024 perused by page3news.com.ng stated that, “the operatives of the FCT pollice command attached to Utako Divisional Headquarters, on June 16, 2024, acting on credible intelligence, trailed and arrested six armed robbery suspects, who specialise in attacking unsuspecting residents who board their vehicle or tricycle.

According to SP Josephine Adeh, “the suspects rob the unsuspecting victims who board their vehicles or tricycle of their valuables and push them off.”

The statement added that, “the suspects were apprehended on the heels of complaints received from multiple victims of these atrocious acts, some of whom reported losing their mobile phones, money, gadgets, and other belongings to these criminal individuals.”

The police said the suspects have since made useful statement in connection with their involvement in the crime.

Media reports has it that light weapons such as cutlasses, knives; with a phone believed to have been stolen from a victim were recovered from the suspects.

While investigations are still ongoing, the FCT Commissioner of police, CP Benneth C. Igweh has reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all and sundry in the Territory as he urges the populace to be vigilant and take advantage of the police emergency lines in reporting suspicious activities.
