Otu, Ayade take Campaign to Bakassi and Akpabuyo

The Gubernatorial Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Cross River State, Sen Bassey Otu took his Campaign to in the Southern Senatorial District of the State.
Sen Otu who visited Bakassi and Akpabuyo Local Government Areas was greeted by a crowd of supporters who had a first hand listen of the “People’s First message.”
The Executive Governor of Cross River State, Sen. Ben Ayade and the other Candidates including the Senatorial Candidate, House of Reps, House of Assembly, State APC Chairman, Barrister Alphonsus Eba and other party chieftains had earlier held a consultative meeting with the Council of Traditional Rulers who endorsed and gave their royal blessings to them.
The campaign train also held a strategic Town Hall Meeting with critical stakeholders in the councils including the youths, community leaders, market women, religious leaders and non-indigenes.
At the campaign rally held at the expansive venues, the security agents had a hectic day controlling the massive but ecstatic crowd who insisted on catching a glimpse of Otu and the other candidates.
Speaking, an elated Otu expressed gratitude to the people for the warm and rousing reception.
Describing Bakassi as home, he said “In my history in politics, I have never lost an election in Bakassi and I’m sure of a 100 per cent vote of the people.”
According Otu, “Bakassi is my home, I’m home with my people and I’m 100 percent sure of my people’s vote.
“I understand the problems of Bakassi, if I’m elected, one of the first things I will do is to restore light to Bakassi and sort out the insecurity issues..
In Akpabuyo, Sen. Otu acknowledged the sacrifices of the people of Akpabuyo, “Akpabuyo has stood behind me in all my elections. The incoming administration will, as a matter of priority, restore electricity to Akpabuyo, I’ll upgrade your medical facilities, construct your road networks and deal with the issues of insecurity”
Senator Otu assured the people of unprecedented socio-economic and infrastructural development if elected.
Speaking during the event, Governor Ben Ayade called on the people to vote and support all APC Candidates from the Presidency to the State House of Assembly..
“Otu is a good man. He is qualified and ready for the job, he is competent, he has the experience.
“I ask for your votes for our Presidential Candidate Sen. Ahmed Bola Tinubu, Our gubernatorial candidate, Sen. Prince Bassey Otu, Our Senatorial candidate, Hon. Asuquo Ekpenyong, our House of Reps and all other candidates, they are eminently qualified, tried, tested and proven.”
