LUMUMBA SPEAKS AT STEFANO’S 20TH ANNIVERSARY

Renowned Kenyan pan-Africanist, Professor of Law and anti-corruption crusader, Patrick Loch Otieno (PLO) Lumumba, who was the keynote speaker at 20th anniversary of Stefanos Foundation expressed his grievance for all the atrocious acts in Nigeria and sent a wake up call on the necessary authorities to ensure a better Africa.
“Nigeria the land of great Muftis and Sheikhs, Pastors and Reverends, yet it is full of violence and atrocious acts. We vote our leaders thinking they will fulfill their campaign promises yet they fail and hypnotize us and all of these makes me wanna ask “Who Bewitched Us?”, Lumumba stated.
He assured that the day Nigeria gets it right, is the day Africa gets it right
He charged Stefanos to keep up the good work and synergize as there is need of synergy and this will make the organisation go far.
The Program Coordinator, Stefanos Foundation who doubled as the Chief Host, Eng. Mark Lipdo stated that Stefanos is out to be a voice to the voiceless victims of attack of any form.
In the spirit of the anniversary, he assured continuous support for internally displaced persons.
Lipdo disclosed that Stefanos has helped in rescuing refugees and catering for them. They have helped in providing shelters and relief materials to IDPs.
“In our display, we are challenging leaders to look at what we have done in our own little ways for them to do better.
In his vote of thanks, Lipdo appreciated all people and organizations that have contributed towards assisting victims of the unabated crises in Nigeria. And urged the public to embrace peace and be patience with one another.
In his address, the Chairman Board of Trustees, Engr. Samuel L. Salifu welcomes everyone and appreciated their partners.
He stated that Stefanos as a Christian based NGO was set up to see the affairs of Christian’s IDPs but as situation changes, Stefanos began to cater for the needs of IDPs regardless of religion or tribes
