NIGERIAN AMBASSADOR TO EGYPT AND PALESTINE, NURA ABBA RIMI PRESENTS LETTERS OF CREDENCE

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the Arab Republic of Egypt with Concurrent Accreditation the the State of Palestine, and the State of Eritrea, His Excellency, Nura Abba Rimi, presented his Letters of Credence to President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi of Egypt 🇪🇬 on the 15th of September, 2021 and President Mahmoud Abbas of the State of Palestine on 16th September 2021.
According to a Press Statement issued by the Embassy of Nigeria in Cairo, the Egyptian President during the colourful ceremony held at the Presidential Palace warmly welcomed the Nigerian Ambassador and wished him a successful tour of duty. President Al Sisi also expressed the readiness to cooperate with Nigeria in areas of mutual interest to both countries.
The Nigerian Principal envoy during the ceremony extended president Muhamnadu Buhari’s warmest greetings to President Al Sisi and assured him of his commitment in deepening the existing friendly relations between the two countries.
Meanwhile in a virtual presentation to President Mahmoud Abbas of Palestine, Ambassador Nura Abba Rimi recalled the historical ties between Nigeria and Palestine and assured of the commitment to strengthen and deepen relationships between Nigeria and the State of Palestine 🇵🇸.
The Palestinian Leader, President Abbas ceased the opportunity provided by the occasion to thank Nigeria for solidly standing by the Palestinians and in particular President Muhammadu Buhari, whom he described as a “friend of the Palestinians”.
Ambassador Nura Rimi is a career diplomat. Before his appointment as Ambassador, he was Director of Regions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja.
