The Interim Management Committee (IMC) of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), has lifted the ban placed on the Media Officer of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, Tosin Omojola.

It will be recalled that the scrapped League Management Company (LMC), had on 3 June, 2022, slammed a one year ban on the 3SC spokesman for making unguarded statements after the team’s NPFL 2021/22 Match day 31 fixture against Remo Stars in Ibadan.

However, the IMC, according to a letter dated 4 March, 2023, signed by the Head of Operations, NPFL, Davidson Owumi, and addressed to the Chairman, Shooting Stars Sports Club, said the lifting of the ban, takes immediate effect.

“Be informed that the sanction issued against Mr Tosin Omojola has been lifted , following his recent apology and appeal for leniency.

“However, following his passionate apology, appeal for leniency, and promise of better conduct in the future, the ban is hereby lifted effectively immediately, on the condition that Mr Omojola will uphold the strictest standard of professionalism going forward”, the release stated.
