30 DAYS TO GO: African Junior Athletics Championship To Hold At Abeokuta

The countdown has begun for the 3rd African U18 and U20 Athletics Championships, scheduled to take place in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria, from July 16-20, 2025. The event is expected to attract over 50 countries, with national contingents arriving from July 12.
The championship will be held at the newly upgraded MKO Abiola International Stadium in Abeokuta.
– Endorsement: The Confederation of African Athletics (CAA), has given full endorsement to the facilities, certifying Abeokuta as ready to host the event.
The championship promises to showcase emerging talent and future stars in athletics.
All eyes will be on Nigeria as it sets the stage for a new generation of stars, poised to follow in the footsteps of national legends.
Ogun State is also preparing to host the upcoming WAFU B U-17 football championship, cementing its status as a hub for elite sporting events in Africa.
