ZAMFARA STATE SIGNS THE VIOLENCE AGAINST PERSONS PROHIBITION ACT 2015

In a rare display of commitment, the Executive Governor of Zamfara State has on 29th day of December, 2022 signed into Law the VAPP Act; bringing the total number of States that have domesticated the VAPP Act to 35 States.
The Federal Ministry of Women Affairs commends this laudable initiative on behalf of Nigerian Women and Children and the voiceless. We urge him to go beyond this to put in place the necessary mechanisms for realizing its implementation; including ensuring that it is gazetted.
