WTSID 2022: Focus on Digital Technologies for Older Persons and Healthy Ageing

On, May 17, 2022 the globe marked World Telecommunications and Information Society Day (WTSID). The WTSID is an annual event that helps to create awareness about the benefits of telecommunications. The commemoration also aimed at bridging the digital divide.

The objective of this year’s celebration, “Digital Technologies for Older Persons and Healthy Ageing”, is aimed at ensuring technology remains socially inclusive for the elderly and the ageing. It also aimed at ensuring that older people utilize digital technologies to maintain healthy and productive lives.

The Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC), also joined stakeholders to celebrate the 2022 World Telecommunications and Information Society Day.
