We are here as servants of the youths, Says Bio as the Youth Ministers assume duty

The Honourable Minister of Youth Development, Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim had said that they as newly appointed ministers are available to serve the youth as leadership is not only about giving directives .
According to her, ” We are here to serve the youth, leadership is not only about giving directives . We are here as servants of the youths representing the president and every staff member of the Ministry. ”
She stated this on assuming duties with the Honourable Minister of State Mr Ayodele Olawande.
The Ministers who made the pledge on Monday while addressing the management staff of the Ministry on assumption of office at the Federal Secretariat Abuja.
The Honourable Minister therefore called for the cooperation of the management and staff of the Ministry in order to actualise their mandate.
She noted that President Bola Tinubu who is passionate about youth development thought it wise to create a Youth Ministry and assigned two Ministers to drive its development. She therefore urged the Nigerian Youths to support his administration in order to achieve the renewed hope agenda of his administration.
In his speech the Honourable Minister of State for Youth Development, Mr. Ayodele Olawand promised to bring his wealth of experience as a community development expert and youth leader to bear towards the achievement of the Ministry’s mandate.
Earlier, in his welcome address, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Alhaji Ismaila Abubakar said that the Ministry was established primarily to handle the challenges of Nigerian youth, which according to him are surmountable.
He assured the Ministers that the staff of the ministry whom he described as disciplined and competent will strive to work with them to achieve the implementation of their mandate.
