GAYPU To Stage First National Peace and Unity Round Table in December

In furtherance, a nongovernmental organization, Global Alliance of Youth for Peace and Unity (GAYPU) would be staging A One-Day Event on National Peace and Unity Round Table 2022 on the 9th of December, 2022 in Abuja

According to the Committee Chairman, Global Alliance of Youth for Peace and Unity, Hon.Kelvin Odatse Peters in a statement, disclosed that the purpose of the event is to dialogue ways to strengthen peace among ourselves and our communities.

Peters disclosed that there are many paths to climbing a mountain; similarly, there are many paths through which a commitment to peace can be used to strengthen oneself and one’s community. There are approaches one can take as an individual, a family, an organization, or a community, nation, or general society. Some of these are simple, while others require more commitment and resources.

“Peace enriches our communities and individual lives, as it directs us to embrace diversity and support one another to the fullest extent possible. Through caring, generosity, and fairness we provide a cornerstone for attaining a sustainable, just, meaningful, vibrant, and fulfilling personal and community life.” He added

The Committee Chairman disclosed that there will be award presentation to Peace Icons at the National Peace and Unity Round Table 2022 and the event will be attended by the Executive Governor of Nassarawa State, His Excellency Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule as the special guest of honour,
Executive Governor of Borno His Excellency Babagana Zulum,
Governor of Oyo State His Excellency Oluseyi Makinde,
Ebonyi state governor, His Excellency David Umahi,
Speaker House of Representative, Rt. Hon Femi Gbajamila as distinguished guest of honour
Rt. Hon Jonathan Gaza as chairman
His Royal Highness Chindo Yamusa (ll) as father of the day, Imams, Pastors, security agencies, youth etc
