W4H, Local Government Service Commission Sign MoU on productino of Midwives in Katsina State

Katsina state Government in Nigeria says the memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed between Women for Health ( W4H) and the Local Government Service Commission for the production of community Midwives to serve as birth attendant in the rural areas will go along way in reducing child and Maternal Mortality in the state.

The Deputy Governor of Katsina State Qs Mannir Yakubu stated this during the launching of delivery kits to community Midwives at local Government Service Commission in the State.

He said that the commitment demonstrated by the state Government as part of its obligation by providing adequate funds and enabling environment paved way for a successful collaboration that can produced the desired results.

Mannir Yakubu further reiterates that the distribution of delivery kits to community Midwives it will help our sisters and mothers in the rural areas to reduce the hardship they encounter during childbirth birth.
