UI VC dissociates self from Social Media impostor.

The Vice Chancellor, University of Ibadan, Professor Kayode O. Adebowale, FAS, mni, has dissociated himself from the under-listed phone numbers +234-706-566-4894 and 0708-572-9278 which the True caller App had shown to belong to one Dr Anthony Igwe.
According to a press release signed by the Principal Assistant Registrar/Public Relations Officer,
Directorate of Public Communication of the institution, Adejoke O. Akinpelu the owner of the phone numbers is an impostor who poses as the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan on Facebook, WhatsApp, LinkedIn and Instagram. He calls and invites people on the social media platforms to partake of appointment opportunities and other dubious businesses upon the payment of fees.
“The Vice-Chancellor categorically states that he is not the owner of the telephone numbers and had not assigned anybody to act on his behalf.
“Efforts are being made to track and arrest the impostor while the Vice-Chancellor appeals to members of the public not to transact business with anyone on his behalf especially on the social media”, the UI Spokesperson stated.
