UASC, ISCOS Visit Adalikwu at MOWCA Secretariat Abidjan

The Secretary General of the Maritime Organisation of West and Central Africa (MOWCA), played host to Mr. Giscard Lilian Ogoula the Secretary General of the Union of African Shippers Councils (UASC), an organ of MOWCA and Mr Daniel M. Kiange, the Secretary General of the Intergovernmental Standing Committee on Shipping (ISCOS),  in his office in Abidjan. Côte d’Ivoire on Monday.

Recall that UASC signed a Framework Cooperation Agreement with ISCOS in 2021 in Kinshasa, DRC. ISCOS is based In Mombasa, Kenya and covers the East and South of the African continent.

As part of the implementation of that agreement, both UASC and ISCOS paid a working visit to MOWCA to discuss areas of cooperation between the three organizations, each working in its area of competence for the interest of African Shippers and economies of respective member countries. It is also in line with MOWCA’s strategic goal of transforming into the African Maritime Organization.
