TRADE MISSION: Arc Bob Achanya visits Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment

Group President, Nigeria- Bangladesh Business Technology Forum (NBBTF), Ajaokuta Chamber of Commerce and Industry, African Centre for Asia Plus B Studies, Arc Bob Achanya on Thursday was on a working visit to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, His Excellency Amb. Abba Rimi.
In his remarks, Bob said he came with his team to brief the PS of the status and level of preparedness of our upcoming collaborative Afro-Asia SMEs Exhibition and Summit in Abuja, being coordinated by the Ministry.
He listed key focus areas to include: Economic Diversification, South South Cooperation, Partnership with Afro- Asia and European nations, Innovation and Technology, Cultural Exchange.
Responding, Ambassador Rimi who expressed satisfaction with the arrangement so far pledged to support the program.
During the event, the Permanent Secretary, Ambassador Rimi was decorated as “Blue Champion” to promote and popularize at the highest level, the cross cutting Blue Space economy-focus of the Tinubu administration.
We appreciate HE. Ambassador Rimi’s pronounced support and buy-in are essential to give the required traction for the commencement of the necessary inter-Ministerial processes pertinent for the delivery of the inaugural annual, and reciprocal multi-lateral event, beginning in Nigeria.
The Group was elated by Ambassador’s for his kind words and buy-in for the event. “We are also thankful to the coordinating department of Trade of the Ministry led by the Head of Trade, Mr. Tuayeringha, SOG for his support on the journey to delivering a world-class event in support of the economic diversification efforts of the Tinubu administration.
The theme of the upcoming SME Exhibition and Summit which comes up in May is, “Preparing SMEs for Economic Diversification and Export in alignment with the mandate of the Ministry of Industry Trade and Investment”,
