Student not dead as initially speculated in suspected cult clash at varsity

The student who was thought to have died in a suspected cult clash at the University of Cross River (UNICROSS), formerly known as CRUTECH, located in Calabar, Cross River State is not dead.

In a fact finding report, the unnamed student was shot in the leg and rushed later rushed by his colleagues for treatment.

At the time of writing this report, the location of the student is yet to be revealed.

Eyewitnesses mentioned that the clash started at about 11am on Monday, November 28, 2022, while the students were busy taking their second semester exams.

On hearing the gunshot, the students ran to safety with some sustaining injuries with the incident putting academic activities on hold in the institution.

It was also gathered that the clash is reportedly said to be between the Vikings and Klans cult.
