The Nigerian Senate has announced that the 2021 Appropriation Bill will be passed on Monday, December, 21.

The Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, made this known on Wednesday’s plenary session in Abuja.

Lawan announced that the delay was as a result of additional inputs by the executive which is currently being worked upon by the Senate Committee on Appropriation.

Ahmad formerly informed the lawmakers that there would be a special session of the Senate on December 21 to pass the budget.

The Senate was supposed to close officially for the Christmas and New Year recess on Thursday 17th December, 2020.
